The opportunity
As the Lead Integration Engineer, Application Systems, you will be accountable for coordinating a set of Technology Infrastructure (TI) services – application platform integration, release and environment orchestration, DevSecOps, and environment delivery – to support Product portfolio teams. You will lead activities around planning, requirement analysis, solution alternatives engineering and implementation for application platforms residing in the cloud or on-premises.
Who you'll work with
You will lead a multi-functional service delivery group – application vendors, Product portfolio squads and Technology Infrastructure teams – to engineer solutions that meet the needs of Developers and Product Teams. You will work under the mentorship of our Senior Manager, Product Delivery Support.
What you'll do
Analyse existing application platforms to ensure optimal operations and analyze new application system requirements to identify where the integration of newest technology and application patterns can be applied
Based on the knowledge Product portfolio needs and their application platform uniqueness, perform research, conduct proof of concepts, and then recommend solution alternatives or improvements after the detailed assessment
Technically plan, direct and implement, TI activities with collaboration from TI DevSecOps & Environment Automation, TI Engineering, TI Infrastructure Operations, and vendor teams to deliver the Technology Infrastructure solution
Lead the design walkthrough and operational readiness review of new systems / application platform to ensure compliance with security, availability, performance, BCP/DR, and other Teachers’ standards / strategies.
Promote DevSecOps, support CI/CD pipelines, optimize release delivery agility, design fit-for-purpose environment strategy, deliver automated services and provide L3 level support
What you'll need
Strong ability to interpret and translate the needs of the customer into pragmatic solutions and executable actions
Design level knowledge of system architecture and patterns, cloud (PaaS/SaaS) principles, and integration and interdependencies of application systems
In-depth knowledge of application, data and infrastructure integration between application platforms in a multi-cloud / SaaS approach connecting to critical technology components residing on-premise.
5 years of operational experience with providing L2/L3 application support, leading changes through change management and situation-managing incidents and problems
Very self-motivated, ability to quickly learn, lead deliverables, influence, facilitate decisions, coach and lead technical staff
Preferably, experience in working with Azure, AKS, Tanzu, http, java, F5, sqlDB, oracleDB, linux, windows, sso, scripting languages
Excellent in critical thinking and problem solving skills, excellent planning and organization skills
