The Senior Manager in our Capital Markets Investment Analytics team is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of application software supporting the delivery of technology services and solutions to consumers across the organization.

The Senior Manager will work closely with Capital Market partners; with respect to decision-making, objective and direction setting, collaboration, and planning. They will lead a highly skilled and diverse group of Software Developers, Solution Architects, and Managers in the design, development, and maintenance of Capital Markets data pipelines and Investment Analytics to assist with the investment way we make decisions for various desks. Connect with different levels of OTPP staff - providing a senior technical and application perspective to business and IT partners.
Lead a group of Software Developers in the design, development, and maintenance of investment Analytics applications. The scope of this responsibility includes collaborating with colleagues to evaluate and define appropriate application development approaches and to lead in their adoption and alignment by using both formal venues and informal relationships across the organization.
Through leadership and direct supervision, application development services are provided in an efficient manner, balancing near term results, longer term efficiencies, risk and cost. The services are consistent with applicable standards and are maintainable, testable and supportable over time.
Performs functions at a senior management level, including departmental planning, interpersonal design, project sponsorship, initiative ownership, vendor and professional services relationship management, recruiting strategy, and talent management
Minimum of 12 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science.
Minimum of 9 years of experiences in delivering solutions in an investment context, ideally in Capital Markets.
Minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity managing a team in solution design, delivery, and support.
Strong architecture, solution design, delivery and support skills in the context of investment data management applications, such as data pipelines, and investment data platforms and upskilling business lead development to meet enterprise standards.
Expert knowledge gained through extensive experience and success in delivering solutions. This includes practical experience in current Solution Development Life Cycle standards and tooling; complemented with a deep understanding of hardware and software platforms, connectivity solutions, databases, middleware, cloud computing, etc.
A proven grasp of current development processes, standards, and tooling is required. This includes analysis and design techniques and tools, development techniques, testing approaches and deployment methods. Leader in Agile Methodology and continuous build, deployment, and testing techniques.
Maintains a sound knowledge of the Investment Industry and a detailed understanding of the OTPP business objectives, processes and practices related to the Investments customers.
Managerial talent - especially in the area of technical professional staff management, talent development and succession planning. Actively seeks opportunities to improve leadership skills, leads by example, and encourages others to reach their full potential.
Highly flexible and demonstrates an ambitious approach. Finds ways to solve problems that balance Capital Market driven outcomes with appropriate software development standards and strategic technology direction. As well as passion about technology in a Capital Markets/investments context
