People Operations Coordinator (12-Month Contract)
The opportunity
The People Operations Coordinator is an individual contributor that provides functional support in P&C, including, but not limited to employee inquiry management, operational process and procedures, policy guidance, program guidance as well as data entry in: Workday (HCM, LMS, Talent Modules), Degreed, and Success Finder. The People Operations Coordinator interacts with employees, managers, candidates and vendors at all levels of the organization. At the core, this role is the primary contact on P&C policy and programs for Ontario Teachers’ employees and P&C team members.
Who you'll work with
As part of a diverse team, you will partner with the Shared Services, HRIS and Payroll team, along with other members within P&C teams from Talent, Talent Attraction Total Rewards, Business Partners. As a valued member of the People Operations team, you will learn from team members and provide support on people analytics, Workday, Degreed, ServiceNow and Success Finder activities and tasks.
What you'll do
Assist with initiating operational activities related to our assessment tools (such as initiating requests, building out reports for candidate/employee comparisons, uploading data etc)
Assist with operational activities related to the certification programs
Responsible for operational activities related to Workday and Degreed, including but not limited to setting up lessons, programs, campaigns, pathways, tracking attendance, notifications, reporting, monitoring learning compliance and follow up etc.
Assist with identification/troubleshoot and testing of issues within our Talent Systems, partnering with key team members
Maintain work instructions on processes
Respond to ad hoc report requests and identify opportunities to automate reporting delivery where possible
Assist with responding to candidates, global employee/managers and P&C team members on general inquiries regarding all People & Culture policies, programs, process, systems and initiatives
Assist with answering tickets within ServiceNow Case Management Tool to adhere to service level agreements
Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of people information
Perform and prioritize multiple tasks under time constraints with accuracy
Work with the team to maintain a balanced workload and service level agreements ensuring a cooperative working relationship
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and People Operations Director and contribute to other P&C initiatives as needed
What you'll need
A post-secondary education
HR certificate or in progress
Ability to manage, perform and prioritize multiple priorities under time constraints
Perform detailed tasks with accuracy and minimal supervision
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) at all levels in the organization
Clear process focus and organized
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and managers, to maintain confidentiality in daily operations
Customer service focused
