Manager, Leadership & Learning

The opportunity

The Manager, Leadership & Learning is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for leadership and learning, working to develop exceptional colleagues and leaders who can deliver our bold and ambitious Teachers 3.0 plan. As a member of the Talent COE, you will report to the Director, Leadership & Learning, and you will partner with P&C Business Partners, COEs and colleagues from across the organization to design, deliver and manage learning programs. You will support the design, implementation and sustainment of the programs and initiatives of OTPP's Leadership Development Strategy, Teachers' Academy, which seeks to foster leadership skills, personal growth and professional development for employees at all levels of the enterprise.

Who you'll work with

Will work closely with the Director, Leadership & Learning to build and deploy initiatives required to grow critical leadership capability across enterprise to deliver Teachers 3.0.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with P&C Business Partners, business leaders and/or Talent COE to conduct learning needs analysis and propose solutions

  • Support the design of learning content and materials, (e.g. toolkits, curating digital pathways (Degreed), workshops or webinars)

  • Work with external providers/vendors: sourcing, evaluating, and relationship management

  • Support sustainment activities

Delivery:

  • Support event management of in-person events (onsite coordination, setup, and participant experience), and the production of virtual learning sessions 

  • Facilitate learning sessions (e.g. orientation, leadership workshops, DEI education)

Program management:

  • Assume product owner role for refreshed enterprise Onboarding (tracking activities, deploying onboarding plans, facilitating orientation and associated events, evaluating and enhancing program)

  • Responsible for the execution of Teachers' Academy, our marquis investment focused on driving culture and capability across the enterprise in support of our strategy; focus includes program communication, administration, measurement, budget and liaising with external vendors

  • Build and maintain project plans and monitor budget

  • Develop and launch communication plans to drive program awareness and registration

  • Support build of program evaluation strategies and monitor success metrics

  • Liaise with COEs to ensure LMS integration

  • Oversee planning of logistics for in-person sessions (session materials, catering, etc.)

  • Continuous improvement of programs/initiatives and participate in retrospectives

  • Support Marquis training and CFA program support as required

What you'll need

  • University degree with a focus on Business, Leadership Development, Human Resource Management, Education or related field

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as superior facilitation and presentation skills

  • Strong program management and analytical skills, balancing supporting complex projects while maintaining attention to detail

  • Ability to think critically, with a continuous improvement approach, while also thinking innovatively and about the art of the possible

  • Knowledge and passion for standard processes and emerging trends within Organizational Development, especially Leadership Development and Learning 

  • A minimum of 5 years of dynamic human resources, leadership development and/or human capital consulting experience

  • Prior experience developing and delivering leadership and learning initiatives, LXP (Degreed) and LMS experience an asset

  • Experience working in a large, complex organization with a geographically dispersed workforce
